Crushing process: tin ore beneficiation begins with the milling of extracted ore in preparation for further activities to recover tin values. Milling operations are designed to produce uniform size particles by crushing, grinding, and wet or dry classification. Milling is a multistaged process and it can be divided into primary crushing, secondary crushing and fine crushing. Primary crushing and screening take place at the mine site. Primary crushing is accomplished by using jaw crushers and impact crushers. Oversize material is passed through additional crushers and classifiers to achieve the desired particle size.
The ore is then crushed and sized at a secondary milling facility. Secondary crushing, if necessary and economical, is accomplished by using standard cone crushers followed by short head cone crushers.
The subsequent crushing is called fine crushing, and it can be achieved by using various kinds of grinding mills. For example, you can choose ball mill, super thin grinding mill, vertical grinding mill and so on.
Magnetic separation: magnetic separation is most commonly used to separate natural magnetic ore from a variety of less-magnetic or nonmagnetic material. After washing and grading, tin ore particles were fed into the magnetic separation. Due to the different susceptibility of various minerals, magnetic and mechanical force can separate the magnetic material from the mixture materials.
After being separated, the tin ore particles were taken into thickener for concentrating. Thickening reduces the water content of the concentrate slurry, separating the water from the heavier mineral-rich solids through gravity. Then, after drying, you can get dry materials.
