Copper Manufacturing Process


If we want to upgrade the copper ore, crushing is the first stage. In a complete copper ore crushing plant, there are three stages: primary crushing, secondary and fine crushing and screening.

Primary Crushing

For primary crushing, we suggest jaw crusher as the primary crusher. Jaw crusher is the most commonly used primary crushing equipment. It can be used to crush various materials with compression strength below 320Mpa. Besides, the structure of jaw crusher is simple, which makes it easy to operate and maintain. Zenith can provide several types and models of jaw crushers, such the HJ series, PE series and PEW series jaw crusher. The working principles of these jaw crushers are the same, but each type has its own unique features.

Secondary Crushing

Secondary crusher is used to crush the copper ore into proper sizes for end use. The Mohs' hardness of copper ore is about 3-4, so we suggest impact crusher as the secondary and fine crusher instead of cone crusher.

Screening

In this plant, after secondary crushing, we need to install a vibrating screen in order to separate and grade the particles. The particles with required sizes will be conveyed to fixed area for end use while others will be sent back to the impact crusher for re-crushing. This process will repeat until all the copper ore reach required sizes.

Besides crushing and screening equipment, we can also provide grinding and beneficiation equipment for the customers.
