Because of the high hardness of basalt, Zenith engineers suggest jaw crusher and cone crusher instead of impact crusher to process basalt. Besides, if we use impact crusher to crush basalt, the blow bar and impact plate in impact crusher will damage badly and to be changed frequently, which will obviously increase the investment capital.
In a basalt crushing plant, jaw crusher is the most commonly used primary crushing equipment and cone crusher is usually used as secondary and fine crushing equipment. Zenith provides various types and models of jaw crushers and cone crushers, like PE, PEW jaw crusher, HST, HPT cone crusher etc.
80tph Basalt Crushing Plant
In 2013, a Kenya customer contacted Zenith for a complete 80tph basalt crushing plant. After communication, we learned about his requirements:
Final product size: 0-10, 10-20, 20-40mm
Raw material: basalt
Max feed size: 450mm
Considering about the above factors and his actual situation of the working site, our engineer designed a plant consist of GZD960*3800 vibrating feeder, PE600*900 jaw crusher, S36'' cone crusher and 3YK1860 vibrating screen and several belt conveyors for him.
In this plant, the raw basalt will be firstly fed into jaw crusher by the vibrating feeder. Then the crushed basalt will be conveyed to cone crusher for fine crushing. After this, the basalt particles discharged from cone crusher will be sent to the vibrating screen for grading. The particles with desired sizes will be conveyed to fixed area for end use while others will be sent back to the cone crusher for re-crushing. This process will repeat until all the basalt reach to required sizes.
